About Us
On-Top Industries Ltd. was incorporated in Vancouver BC in 1992 by the founder and owner Doug Tweet, then operating as On-Top Roofing and Water-proofing Inc. The incessant rain and humid BC coastal climate was the perfect training ground providing the standards for roofing that are typically higher and more stringently required than that specified for the dryer climate found in Alberta and other places These standards and experiences are incorporated into every aspect of our roofing in Alberta. Additionally, the colder freeze/thaw cycles unique to Alberta have provided some lessons on venting and correct insulation of roof systems; rounding out the roofing experience and providing a solid basis for servicing our clients going forward.
The Alberta corporation was registered in 2004 and the Vancouver company was merged into the On-Top Industries Ltd. Alberta corporation. Today we service mainly the Calgary area and close proximity but will do some out of town work on occasion in Vancouver, Fort McMurray or Saskatchewan. On-Top Industries Inc. is Bonded, carries $5,000,000 liability insurance as well as fully covered by Workers Compensation insurance coverage.
